Full Encyclopedia Entry ▼
Mountains represent the geological wealth buried beneath towering peaks and craggy slopes. Cities founded here access unparalleled mineral deposits: Stone and Mithril production reach +40%, Mineral +35%, Coal +30%, Gems +25%, Marble +20%, and even exotic Dextronium +15%. Gold flows from ore veins at +10%. The terrain naturally fortifies defenders (+15% Life, +5% Attack) as attackers must assault uphill against prepared positions. However, the harsh landscape severely limits organic production: Food (-35%), Herbs (-30%), Wood (-25%), and Elixir (-15%) all suffer. Mountain cities must import sustenance or face starvation. The Dwarven affinity for mountains (+50% Mithril, +40% Mineral racial bonus) creates devastating synergies.
