How do seasons affect gameplay?

Four seasons cycle every 7 real-world days per continent. Spring boosts Herbs and Food, Summer enhances Gold and Research, Autumn is ideal for stockpiling with +20% Food and +15% Wood, and Winter collapses surface production but boosts underground resources like Coal, Mithril, and Dextronium. Each race thrives in different seasons.

What are city events?

Random events like Famines, Epidemics, Mutinies, Protests, and Corruption can strike your cities. Mitigate them by training specialized workers: Medics reduce Epidemic risk by 20%, Priests reduce Mutiny by 10% and Protests by 15%, and Spies reduce Corruption by 20%. Seasons also affect event probabilities.

How does population work?

Your empire has 10 worker types. Citizens generate Gold, Harvesters produce Food, Miners extract ores, Scientists conduct Research, and specialized roles like Medics, Priests, and Spies provide event resistance. Workers require Food maintenance, and advanced workers need additional resources and research prerequisites.

How does transport work?

Three merchant types move resources and troops between cities. Carts travel by land (1,000 capacity, slowest), Ships by sea (500 capacity, moderate speed), and Balloons by air (100 capacity, fastest but most expensive). Enemies can blockade sea and air routes to prevent transport.

What are city categories?

Cities come in four categories: Capital (20 building limit, research and gold bonuses), Township (15 buildings, balanced production), Warcamp (5 buildings, defensive combat bonuses), and Storehold (5 buildings, resource storage bonuses). Each empire can have only one Capital.

How do battle lanes work?

Combat uses a lane system across Land, Sea, and Air domains. Ground units are positioned in First (tanks), Side (flankers), Second (ranged), and Third (siege) lanes. Each race has combat modifiers per lane — for example, Dwarves excel as frontline tanks while Elves dominate at range.

What are resource chains?

Resources come in two tiers: 6 natural resources (Food, Wood, Herbs, Stone, Mineral, Gems) harvested directly, and 5 produced resources (Elixir, Coal, Marble, Mithril, Dextronium) created through processing buildings. Advanced units and buildings require produced resources, creating strategic supply chains.
